Kids Cooking Parties was launched in February 2010 after a friend approached me in the school playground asking if I would run a cookery party for her. She knew me for my 'loaf cakes'. Since February I now run between 2-4 parties a week. My parties range from making and baking cakes & biscuits, pizza, non oven treats, princess & pirate, tea and chocolate parties all from scratch and I only use vegetarian ingredients. The children have a chance to experience cooking and making food items which they love. They all receive a certificate at the end of the party and take home the food items they make.

Running my own business has been a big challenge in my life, I have two young children under 6, both my children know that when I go to work its teaching other children how to cook, both my children run to the kitchen when they hear my mixer on.

In my spare time, I make loaf cakes. I sell over 60 different flavours.  The Loaf Cake Company was born in December 2008. I started the cake business as I wanted to produce something different in the market. Cupcakes were all the rage and I thought I need to produce a product that wasn’t the same as everyone else.

All the cakes are made by hand in my kitchen at home and I only sell what I bake myself. My cakes are made from free range eggs, are all suitable for vegetarians and I never use GM Products. I do all the baking, packing & delivering myself and feel even more rewarded that I have returning customers all throughout the year. I am always coming up with new & old recipes; I love to experiment with new flavours.
